In November 2014 Jakub suggested paying more attention to pedestrian safety matters in Wyszyńskiego (Retkinia estate) to the Road and Transportation Authorities. We waited a year for a response.

Not only did Jakub draw attention to the problem, but he also suggested concrete solutions that could be used in this particular area. The first response wyszynskiego-fbwas evasive and postponed any possible reaction to a non-defined point in future (as soon as one of the tram lines in ready). The one that came after it - one that was supposed to address the correspondence with the Police and City Guards - focus only on data with regards to the accident that happened in the are.

For some time the matter came to a standstill as traffic in the whole city was being reorganised. Finally, in October 2015, speed bumps were installed in the street. Unfortunately, they were installed in a way that made it easy for all drivers to drive past them.

As a response to our comment to such a situation, the Road and Transportation Authorities informed on a social networking site that a post was installed between the speed bumps to prevent drivers from driving past them. Such a solution was introduced in order for the speed bumps to serve their purpose, i.e. force drivers to reduce speed near the pedestrian crossing and the tram stop. (full communication flow with regards to the matter can be viewed here (click)
