November was the month of local elections thus the topic of our meeting was related to the competences of both the city councilors and the president. A couple of candidates attended the meeting, which took place at the “Niebostan” club-café (Piotrkowska Street no. 17).

spotkanie-21-pazdziernikaThe whole meeting was dedicated to the competences of local governments – what can councilors do in terms of improving road traffic safety and how can city authorities participate in this process and on which roads.  During the meeting a few candidates for councilors showed up as well as one candidate running for president of Łódź. After the presentation we invited everyone to take part in the discussion and to decide what the newly elected local government should do in order to improve safety on the streets of Łódź. What’s worth noting is that candidates from various parties agreed that it is necessary to undertake actions in order to improve road traffic safety.
