Mid-November a meeting with the Road and Transportation Authorities was held in order to discuss traffic reorganisation in Karolew.

All possible solutions provided to the autorities were an effect of workshops organised together with the estate residents as a part of our project Bezpieczne Miasto – Inna Droga (see full visualisation). All workshops were held in July.

The meeting organised by the Road and Transportation Authorities was attended not only by members of Fenomen, but also by Karolew-Retkinia Wschód Community Counsil representatives.

All present at the meeting agreed that introducing a a traffic calming zone and an uncontrolled intersection zone was advisable throughout the estate. The Road and Transportation Authorities also approved the idea for new parking places, e.g. along Wróblewskiego. Thanks to this solution, all drivers will clearly know where they can park without posing a threat to pedestrian safety.

Moreover, during the meeting, we discussed the entrance to the car park in front of a local high school - XXVI LO, precisely described parking along Wróblewskiego, and agreed both on planting bushes in order to prevent parking on the lawns and road signs size.

A final project was sent to the Road and Transportation Authorities.

It is currently being opinionated by the police.

We will be able to provide a final decision on the matter in the beginning of December 2015.
