Fundacja Normalne Miasto - Fenomen prowadzi oraz wspiera działania na rzecz podnoszenia bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego, w szczególności poprawy warunków jazdy rowerem w Łodzi. Pomagamy wszędzie tam, gdzie pojawia się chęć wprowadzania tego rodzaju rozwiązań. W swoich działaniach prowadzimy dialog z mieszkańcami, ich przedstawicielami oraz władzami miasta starając się wspólnie wypracować optymalną metodę poprawy bezpieczeństwa.

We have met with Stoki-Sikawa-Podgórze Community Council. During the meeting we have presented our idea for calming traffic in the area. Our idea was unanimously accepted.
With the help of Stoki Community Council, we have designed a traffic regorganisation in the area emphasised by the Council.
A presentation on social campains from all over the world was a summary of the cycle of our meetings. We shared godd examples, but also those that weren't effective.
That is our last meeting in this project. We decided to end it with a topic that serves as a perfect summery to the whole cycle - social campains. Will we see such campains in Łódź?
We organised a meeting during which we wanted to share how we conducted the consultation workshop with the residents of Karolew. The workhops ended with implementation of a tempo-30 zone in the estate.
Limited visibility in the Wólczańska-Mickiewicza intersection was reported for three years. Unfortunately, another accident took place there.
Heated discussion regarding changes in Karolew or hustle and bustle among Julianów residents in connection with Fenomen's activities is fully understandable. We need to be happy with the interest.
The first meeting in 2016 was organised on the day, when the first City Council for Traffic Safety was to take place. Unfortunately, it failed again.
How did it happen that new road signs were installed in Karolew and the whole estate became a tempo-30 zone?

About project
The project „Safe City – a different way” is financed with a sum of 285 000 zł from Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein as part of Citizens for Democracy Programme (implemented by the Stefan Batory Foundation in partnership with the Polish Children and Youth Foundation) with EEA Funds. The project is aimed at increasing the influence of citizens of Łódź on decisions and actions, which are to ensure road traffic safety and quality of public space.
